While HP doesn’t really compete at this price point for A2 printers, favoring commercial-grade and multi-function units above and below this threshold respectively, the DesignJet 130 does deserve mention. This unit actually handles paper sizes all the way up to 24 x 64 inches in cut sheet media as well as optionally supporting rolled media.
The ink system however is a 6-cartridge dye-based configuration, using HP’s Vivera inks which output a 4-pl droplet size. Rated at fade resistant to 82 years, the Vivera inks are known to yield excellent color reproduction; however, in this class as well as in the prosumer realm, HP doesn’t really maintain a competitive presence.
