Manfrotto 682B Self Standing Monopod

Despite having only three leg sections, this aluminium Manfrotto monopod extends from 65cm to 1.61m. With just two clip locks, it’s also quick and easy to set up. It’s a little on the heavy side at 2.5 pounds, but it feels absolutely rock-solid in use, making it a viable alternative to a tripod. The only niggle is that the leg sections are a bit rattly when the clip locks are released.
Built for outstanding and reliable results in the field, the 682B is a must-have accessory for any serious photographer. I especially like the quick-action leg-locks, which take it from compact to fully extended – and back again – in a flash.
